It is life’s little adventures that make it all worth it.  During lunch yesterday Miss K proceeded to tell me she was finished eating.  Well of course this is Miss K, she never eats and always believes eating one piece of something constitutes finished.

I, of course, being mom gave her my best stern look and said, “You will sit still and finish eating.”  She began to laugh.  I had to think about what I said; it wasn’t funny in the least bit.  Obviously something was.

Miss K looked at me with her twinkling eyes with her best calm voice and said, “Mom, this is how you are supposed to do your face.”  She then gave me her best stern face, eyes in a furrow, face drawn.

Several “stern” versions later I was laughing, I couldn’t help it.  It was cute, my daughter teaching me how I should have a stern face with her.  It is these little, silly things that keep us light and tender hearted.  Definitely a lunch worth a thousand faces.
