Ready For Another Holiday
Moved, not unpacked, stuffed, and officially still needing that vacation. My house is awesome, my tub is FANTASTIC, and Thanksgiving went by without much fanfare. The kiddos spent most of the day outside with new friends they have made while I made a fab 30-minute meal, holiday-style thanks to tips offered by a friend to many moms - Rachel Ray. You know, tips like using ready made stuff ![]()
No, I didn’t spend all day cooking and baking like I am sure many families did, but for me that is OK. My time was spent with my children watching the parade, anxiously waiting for that moment when Santa made his entrance. My children don’t mind stuffing from a box because the potatoes were really mashed. They also didn’t mind some of the veggies made in stream fresh bags because I really did cook a turkey.
Of everything I made the turkey really did take the longest time of anything to cook. I stuck it in a roasting bag and that was that. OK, so, maybe that was self-cook. My kids enjoyed their time with family and friends and I was able to enjoy that time too instead of being in the kitchen all day, hot and pissed. Trust me, I have had holidays like that and I am not a happy person!
So with Thanksgiving day successfully over, Christmas is around the corner and a ham is in the works!
