Are You Following Along?

I am! I am following the “15 Days of Marketing” offered by JessicaKnows.com. Currently on day 3, I have 2 blogs that I am working on now, this blog and my own marketing blog, and then from there I will branch out to the next 2 blogs that I need to re-vamp. Not wanting to overwhelm myself, smart move was on doing the least amount at once so that I could focus purely on the first set of blogs and then give the same focus to the next set.

In reviewing the program and many of the blogs participating, I truly am learning a great amount from the participants. The focus for today is to begin vlogging. One thing I really didn’t want to do - vlog, but hey, I guess we all need to take a step outside of the box. I like that my blog her is more personal and about me. People do  read about me when they come here. That I like. A vlog is definitely something that I would like to do on my marketing blog.

While trying to keep my sanity with creating a more focused blog here, I am going full force finding clients. My marketing/PR/events business is taking off and I have been extremely impressed with the growth in such a short amount of time. Currently, this is the other blog I am re-vamping on the “15 Days of Marketing” but it is going a bit slow since I am trying to find a new look completely. The theme you currently see there is not exactly what I wanted. So, if you can help me out on a Wordpress theme, send me an email!

Who Knows You Blog?

When I first started this blog it was a means to unclutter my mind with all the crap that was in there; irritations about my separation and husband, to help with a bit of child-stress, and to maybe figure out where I needed to go in life. My venting machine - hmm… change the title? Nah!

No one knew in my family that I was writing this blog, no need to share it with them. Again, my venting blog. What good was a venting blog if I shared it with those I vented about? So, no one knew, and still to today, no one in my family knows about this particular blog.

As I ventured out and began blogging other places, I had to schedule my time a bit more wisely. I never take time from my children, but I did begin to ask their dad to keep them an hour longer for his time. When time changed, the questions followed. What’s going on? So, I told him.

Well, the thing I knew would happen, happened. “What? That’s stupid! Why are you doing that?” “Takes time away from the family.” No, you mean it takes time away from you! You want me to be doing what you want; going here, going there, doing this, doing that. The questions never ended.

By the time he was done, I felt like calling it quits. Again, one more thing that I do for me, squashed by the attitude of a selfish man. I didn’t quit, I enjoy what I do. Even if only one person reads each of the blogs I do, I do them for me and to either give enjoyment, help or advice.

Well, he knows I blog, but not what they are; he could care less. I told him because we are suppose to be mending our relationship, this is important to me, so I thought I would share something I felt for, but this is one more reason to question “What the heck am I still doing with him?”

Install and Transfer

Well, I have the URL - http://www.thebrunetteblog.com/ - but guess what?  There still is no blog there yet!  Wordpress is installed, now I have to move everything over and that is where I am getting pissed.  I’ll get there, but I am just not happy doing it. 

This is only my second try.  I am usually a three-times-a-charm kind of person.  I expect at least another delete and re-do for me before it goes, but in the end, I will most likely not be the one that gets it to work.

I have never had these problems before.  I think it is just timing; normal for me.  So, lets see what this week brings and hopefully you will be seeing a new layout for the New Year.  More like within the first week or two.
