Tonight I am going out. Technically not out as in a date, like dinner and a movie, or drinks, although I am pretty sure alcohol will be consumed. I am going to my friends house for a BBQ. It has been some time since my last outing, so I am looking forward to having some adult conversation, even though her husband asks like he is 5.
One of the best parts of going over there to eat, I don’t have to cook. YEAH ME! Dessert is simple, go buy some brownies or a cheesecake, good to go! Oh, can’t forget the drinks, need to write that down. Important on the to do list - make sure the babysitter is here by 5 PM, that way I can leave on time, well as close to on time as possible.
Hmmm… suppose to be others there, but most either work with the 5-year-old husband or live around my friends, so of course no one I know. I hate that - like being a third wheel. Oh well, I will go have a merry time and enjoy myself, eat, drink, and meet some new people. I can do anything!
Other than Friday night excitement, my weekend is looking pretty calm. Laundry and dishes and some more of some sort of cleaning I am sure. The glamour of being a mom
Plus I get to look forward to kickboxing and tanning, still a calm weekend. Oh, I forgot, mud pies are sure to be in there, along with some pink sand playing.
Enjoy! TTFN,

OK… I haven’t been tagged with this meme, but I liked it when I read it. It is short and sweet, so here it goes.
The rules of this meme:
1). Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages)
2). Open the book to page 123
3). Find the fifth sentence
4). Post the next three sentences
5). Tag five people & post a comment here once you post it to your blog, so I can come see.
Thankfully, a real book was right next to me or you would have been getting a line from my Psych text book about 2 inches further down. The book, Forever Odd by Dean Koontz. Now turning to page 123…
Most would have moved on the moment they expired. At least, for my sake, I hoped that was true. Most commonly, spirits who have dwelled this long in a self-imposed state of purgatory will manifest in a mood of melancholy or anxiety.
Now, tagging - I’m not tagging anyone. Please, if you would like to do this meme, meme away! The five people I chose to tag, already have a similar meme and I didn’t want to send another almost identical one to them or they were tagged yesterday to do this very one.

If you have visited my blog enough to look around, you know by now that I write for a few other blogs around the huge world wide web. One blog in particular is Simple Home Basics. Still a work in progress, Simple Home Basics, is a combination of original content and the scattered information around the Internet pertaining to your family and home.
Currently, Simple Home Basics offers five areas of interest - Home, Family, Entertainment, Organization and Community. Each area is updated weekly and can offer you a recipe, a craft, or a fun activity for the family to do.
As mentioned before the blog is still a work in progress. Wanting to make sure that your first visit is not your last, we want to offer the best, most friendly content possible along with ease of use.
Stop by Simple Home Basics and peruse around. Let me know what your thoughts are on looks, ease of use, and content. Our readers are important and so is your feedback - that is what will help Simple Home Basics grow.

I thought it might be fun to share something that is not depressing and can be just as fun as the remarks coming out of my seven year olds mouth. Plus we never talk TV, bout time we did.
So, here are my favorite top 10 or so shows. I tried to put them in a particular order of how I liked them, but I like them all, but I would have to say there are a few I never miss and those are usually the ones I watch first on the DVR.
1. Ghost Whisperer / 24 / Prison Break
2. Bones
3. Numb3rs
4. House
5. Supernatural
6. Medium
7. Moonlight
8. American Idol
9. CSI: NY
10. K*Ville
There are of course those shows that I like, but only watch if for some reason a more important show is not on.
- CSI
- Samantha Who?
- Bionic Woman
- Without a Trace
- Cold Case
Wondering how I actually watch these shows with two kids and NO time? I love my DVR! I record throughout the week and then late, late, very late at night when I am doing laundry it gives me something to watch as I fold and put away.
So, what does my list say about me? That I am weird because I watch shows about paranormal and things that could just never be true? Didn’t say it would be a great list to see into the depths of my inner self, I like them because they are either fun or have hot guys in them.
