The Teaser Before the BIG Shebang

BIG event hitting Twitter and you are invited!

In celebration of the Holiday Season and in honor of a product re-launch for Mighty Miracle Mist, Helpful Hallie’s and CreateChatter are co-hosting Holiday Trivia on Twitter. A fun event keeping with the holiday spirit, Holiday Trivia is all about sharing with our fellow tweeples and giving away some excellent items!

The Basics:

During the Holiday Trivia Event, we will be sharing with you some known and not-so-known websites and blogs from our list of must-see! The next step is to have our participants visit their designated website or blog, review the site, and then answer their trivia question on Twitter. And of course, you know the rest - the first to answer - WINS!

Now those participating in the night, but not participating in the rounds of trivia, we haven’t left you out! We will be sharing in fun discussion about the fun and quirkiness of parenting and family life. Hmmm… what is your most embarrassing moment as a parent? Did your child do something wrong that you couldn’t help but laugh at? What is your most memorable Christmas memory with your kids? What is your most memorable Christmas memory from when you were a child?

Next Week:

Beginning next Monday, December 8, there will be a post on Helpful Hallie’s blog, listing all of the websites and blogs that will be participating in the trivia event, as well as a listing of the giveaways. For those wanting to participate in the trivia event portion, we will ask you to sign up by leaving a comment regarding which giveaway you would like to win. Now, of course you can choose all of the giveaways, but you will only be allowed to participate in one round of trivia.

Other Stuff:

Three (3) participants per round
Website or blog will be given the night of the event

Are You Following Along?

I am! I am following the “15 Days of Marketing” offered by JessicaKnows.com. Currently on day 3, I have 2 blogs that I am working on now, this blog and my own marketing blog, and then from there I will branch out to the next 2 blogs that I need to re-vamp. Not wanting to overwhelm myself, smart move was on doing the least amount at once so that I could focus purely on the first set of blogs and then give the same focus to the next set.

In reviewing the program and many of the blogs participating, I truly am learning a great amount from the participants. The focus for today is to begin vlogging. One thing I really didn’t want to do - vlog, but hey, I guess we all need to take a step outside of the box. I like that my blog her is more personal and about me. People do read about me when they come here. That I like. A vlog is definitely something that I would like to do on my marketing blog.

While trying to keep my sanity with creating a more focused blog here, I am going full force finding clients. My marketing/PR/events business is taking off and I have been extremely impressed with the growth in such a short amount of time. Currently, this is the other blog I am re-vamping on the “15 Days of Marketing” but it is going a bit slow since I am trying to find a new look completely. The theme you currently see there is not exactly what I wanted. So, if you can help me out on a Wordpress theme, send me an email!

What’s wrong with wanting - Better?

By now you all have read that I have begun building a marketing PR organization. I won’t fib, I hope that within a reasonable amount of time I will be able to break away from my day job to do this full time. Right now, I have to keep the main job to pay the bills until I take off and fly. But it is also no secret that although I love the company and people that I work with, it is not my dream job. I am incredibly unhappy.

Sure, some people will never find THE job. Others have hit the jackpot! I want to be one of those people. The “love-my-freaking-job-so-much-I-sing-everyday” people. When I wake up, I want to have a smile for work. Yes, jobs have stress and downsides - not saying that I won’t ever experience that, but I don’t want to go to a job daily that literally feels like it is killing me. I will continue to pursue my own marketing and PR, but I am ready to move on. Conquer another position. Find THE job.

I have been taking some time recently looking for a new position in marketing and PR. I know, timing is not exactly great with the economy, but there are companies out there looking for exactly what I am looking for. We will find each other and viola, perfect fit! I love to talk, think, create, and talk some more. I’m perfect to get the word out. I mean, I didn’t grow up with “Motor-mouth” written into everything I owned for nothing! Thanks Auntie Barbara

Well, of all the positions I have been looking at, I have taken a leap and looked outside of where I live. The right position is one that will let me work anywhere of course and if I find that job, I would love to move back home to Maryland (hint, hint).

Anywho, I found several, but 2 positions that I would die for. One is for a company I will not name (makeup). I took a leap - a big leap - and so far I guess I either suck big time or they could care less. Either way, so far that is a no go. Another job I would love - working for Hubspot as their Marketing Manager - Public Relations. Hello! Perfect job for my loudmouth. The only thing, if by some small miniscule chance I ever applied and even got the job, I would have to move to Massachusetts. Yea, I know, I said I am OK with moving - Maryland (hint, hint).

Well… that’s it! My long post for today on what is happening, what I want to happen, and what will most likely never happen. Lots of happenings today here for the brunette

networking like crazy!

My butt has been kicked into gear this week to talk, chat, talk, and chat some more. I am networking for my business and my blogs! I have really touched base with a ton of great folks both online and face-to-face to get things rolling. And, if they aren’t contact now, they will be soon. Remember, I love to talk and marketing is my life. Time to just make it happen.

My business site/blog - http://www.createchatterpr.com - is coming along. Sure there are a few tweaks that are needed. Some things I need to change up. I am still in the baby stage, so I am getting there - but I already have clients, mostly though word-of-mouth, so guess what - it work’s!

I am still searching for contact, too. Just because you might not need me as your marketing/PR gal, doesn’t mean we can’t chat it up and bounce ideas off of each other. So, you can contact me on my blog here, or my chatter one if you just want to have a contact for a just-in-case time. Hey, I don’t mind.

Branching Out

I am taking a few steps in a direction that I have always wanted - now I am doing it. I am working on starting an online marketing / PR site, offering many online services like blog exposure, brand awareness, and a presence in social networking communities. It has been a long time dream, now I am working towards making it happen.

A great help in getting me off the ground - guerrillaRed.com. Chris at guerrillaRed is taking me under his wing and helping me get started. Sort of showing me the ropes and getting me ready for clients. I am already in the works consulting with Chris on a current client, Chatterboxgames.com, so I am hitting the ground running, so to speak.

I will be unveiling my site and new PR name hopefully by the end of the week. I think the name suits me and what I will be handling for my clients. You will like it. I will post again letting you know when I unveil it!
