I LOVE going to the mailbox and finding new adventures waiting inside. Don’t you? Well, not junk mail adventures! But, those fun adventures that will take you away and allow you to experience life, love, happiness, and sadness.
Today, I was lucky enough to have delivered to me a new adventure. I took a quick 30-foot walk, opened up my mailbox and found inside a new awesome book to read and review for you all here titled Shelter Me by Juliette Fay. I have been looking forward to receiving this book and happy to finally have it.
A quick synopsis of Shelter Me without giving too much away is “a mom’s rebirth after her husband’s death.” I know, that alone has a ton of you crying. I tell myself I can hold my own, but I am sure I will share in the tears with you all. Through the tears, I am waiting for the moment where she begins to live again. I think it will be a wonderful book.
I am hoping to have the review up for you all in the next 3 weeks. Be patient with me though because I am reading a few other books
that i hope to finish up this week and then I can start on Shelter Me. I plan to add this review to the MamaLit review blog as well. If you have not been by there, you should check it out. MamaLit has ten ladies reviewing books. There are some great reviews on there!

That be me!
Like a few of you out in the blogoshpere, I received an email from Kelly McCausey, General Editor of Sparkplugging, about participating in a new 10-week internship for Sparkplugging. I was anxious as I read the email because Sparkplugging and Kelly McCausey are top names that you hear repeated throughout online communities everywhere.
I finished reading the email and jumped on filling out the application. I’m a 30-something mom of two and my whole purpose for filling out the application and sending it in, opportunity. Opportunity to learn; growth - both personally and professionally, and the best feeling of all, accomplishment. The accomplishment of ten weeks of challenge that could only make be a better person all around.
Send. Off went the email.
Ding. I had mail.
Later that evening I received an email from Kelly. She wanted to talk with me more about possibly joining the internship. We scheduled our Skype chat for late morning today. If you have never chatted with Kelly, she is awesome. Extremely easy to just chat with and can make you want to chat maybe more than she has time for.
Outcome? Well, I am now part of the 10-week internship – well, almost. I am waiting for my internship forms to read over and to accept the commitment. Once I do, I will be part of a great team of interns. Granted I don’t know any of the other possible interns, but we have to be great! We are going to be learning from an awesome lady and will be part of a wonderful team that can only get better!
I will add notes here and there about how I am doing during the internship. Of course I can’t share the work with you, but I can definitely share with you how I am doing. Keep your eyes open for updates!
Wish me luck. Wish all of the interns luck!

I am taking a few steps in a direction that I have always wanted - now I am doing it. I am working on starting an online marketing / PR site, offering many online services like blog exposure, brand awareness, and a presence in social networking communities. It has been a long time dream, now I am working towards making it happen.
A great help in getting me off the ground - guerrillaRed.com. Chris at guerrillaRed is taking me under his wing and helping me get started. Sort of showing me the ropes and getting me ready for clients. I am already in the works consulting with Chris on a current client, Chatterboxgames.com, so I am hitting the ground running, so to speak.
I will be unveiling my site and new PR name hopefully by the end of the week. I think the name suits me and what I will be handling for my clients. You will like it. I will post again letting you know when I unveil it!
