Life with the Neighbor Next Door
They moved in back in February I believe and at first she was great, her kids were great, the one day all hell broke loose. Her daughter did this, her son did that, my children retaliated, and so on.
I told my kids to be bigger than the situation, so that means they apologized, but the harassing behavior didn’t stop on the neighbor children’s part. They continued to pick on my kids, tease my dogs, and say verbally nasty things to my kids.
I did the neighborly thing and spoke with their mom, asked if we could just talk to all the kids, which did happen, and the agreement was that our children no longer spoke to each other and we made a mark of where my children stayed and her children stayed.
Of course, it never worked and the encounters only escalated. Finally summer came and her kids left to go to dads. There was peace on the street. My kids could go outside and play, ride there bikes, and enjoy some outside time.
Screeching HALT! The kids are back since school began this week and hell as come back to the street. Between the air-soft gun being used on not just my kids, but other neighbor kids and my dogs, along with the name calling and rude behavior, I have just about gone nuts.
UGH!!! Brats!

I feel your pain. You try to be the bigger person, but in my opinion, it is just always the other parents fault, hehe! lol…jk….

Wow! How horrible! I am so afraid something like that is going to happen to us. Especially with my 5 yr old son being autistic. His intentions are very easily misunderstood. So far–since they’re young–I’ve managed to keep my kids separate.

We have always been lucky with our neighbors and have usually come to a happy middle ground, but this lady seems to be worse then her kids. Drives me nuts!
