Training Day 1
Yesterday was the day, but of course when I got a minute to even think about writing the post it late last night and I was exhausted, so bed won over the post. Anyway, I was surprised with myself, I didn’t die - that right there lets me know I can go another day.
Hurting, nope, not yesterday, but today my body is on fire. I felt it yesterday during the work out, but boy I am more than feeling it today. Like my optimistic friend Ryan
reminded me yesterday, my muscles have been put into shock. Heck, I stand up, sit down, pick up my kids - you know, normal everyday movement. I have officially pissed my body off.
My normal routine: treadmill or stair climber for 15 minutes to warm up, then 30 minutes of complete muscle confusion. Kelly (my trainer) told me I will never do the same thing twice. Each day I work with her, she will work my body differently, but still in a combination where each part will work off the other.
Know what, she’s the expert, I trust her because I have no clue. Have at it! The only other thing that I have to do is increase my water intake. She wasn’t to happy about my hydration level. Once she explained where my hydration should be and knowing where mine is currently, I am surprised I didn’t look more like a raisin.
I am trying to be very optimistic about my training and why I am doing it. So yes, it was a very good first session with many more to come. That means a ton more posts letting you all know exactly how out of shape I am.
Count’ em Ryan - there are at least 3 points of optimism. Have a great day all!
